Mr. Scott Walston

Scott is the owner of Gray Memorial Chapel and a lifelong resident of middle Georgia. He holds an undergraduate degree in religion and sociology and a graduate degree in marriage and family therapy from Mercer University. He has been involved in ordained ministry for 40 years and is the former Director of the Therapeutic Foster Care Program at the Methodist Home for Children and Youth in Macon. In addition to his interest in ministry Scott has been a small business owner for 35 years.

In the late 90’s he was the first to offer pet cremations in middle Georgia to those families wishing to honor their beloved family companion in a respectable manner. He has been involved in the funeral industry for the last 25 years as an industry leader pioneering and assisting funeral directors all over the country with innovative products that help families connect with their personal stories, life interest, passions and university affiliations. 

Scott and his wife Terry have been married for 31 years and have two children Daniel and Anna-Kathryn. Scott and Terry are members of Ingleside Baptist Church. He looks forward to using his ministry skills to assist families during one of life’s most difficult times. Scott is also available to speak to your civic organization, youth group, Sunday school class and church on a variety of subjects of interest related to families and individual personal growth.

Ms. Brenda Broach

Funeral Service Assistant
Brenda was born and raised in Jones County. After graduation she received her master in cosmetology and worked a total of twenty-six years in the kaolin industry with ten of those years in customer service and sales. 

She now lives in Wilkinson County where she has served on the city council for eight years and is currently serving as the mayor of Ivey. She has worked many years with the funeral home and is pleased to be employed with Gray Memorial Chapel, where she can care for your needs.




Mr. Sam Patton

Funeral Service Assistant
Sam has called Jones County home since 1963 when his family established Allfarm Sales, Inc., a local Real Estate Company in Gray. Upon graduation from the University of Georgia with a BA in business, Sam went to work with his father in real estate and rural development in the middle Georgia area.

Throughout his real estate career, he developed an appreciation for the local community and the surrounding counties. He has witnessed the growth in Jones County over his 40 year career and hopes that in some small way he and his family played a part. Sam is a member and past president of the Macon Lions Club and former Director of Satilla River Club.

In 2016, Sam closed Allfarm Sales after 54 years of selling real estate, and decided to make a change. Sam has found a new home in Gray Memorial Chapel, serving the needs of many local families.

Mr. Bradford K. "Brad" Fowler

Funeral Service Assistant
Brad is a lifelong resident of Jones County. He and his wife Brandi have been married since 1991 and have three children: Brooklin, Brent and Briley.

Brad has served in the funeral industry for the past twenty-nine years, twenty-eight of which at Bridges Funeral Home. He served as a deputy coroner for Jones County for ten years and was a volunteer with thirty years of service with the Jones County Fire and Rescue attaining the rank of Assistant Rescue Chief. Brad was recognized as Volunteer of the Year four times as well as Firefighter of the Year and Exchange Club Volunteer of the Year. He has also received the Emergency Management Directors Award, Gray Jaycees: Outstanding Young Georgian Award and the Emergency Management Acts of Bravery Award for Dramatic Rescue. Brad also serves an Instructor in CPR, Technical Rescue, Hazmat, Firefighter and Emergency response.

He has worked full time for Georgia Power Company for the past thirty-three years. Brad has been a member of the Church of God for the past forty-five years and is currently a member of Daystar Church of God in Macon. Along side his mother Doris, Brad is active in the Jones County Nursing Home Ministry, conducting church services at Lynn Haven and Gray Nursing homes for the residents who cannot get to church on Sunday mornings.

Brad is passionate to serve people in need and is proud to continue to serve the Jones County community at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory.

Mr. Jerry Mansfield

Funeral Service Assistant
Jerry was born and raised in central Indiana. He honorably served his country with the United States Air Force, being stationed in six different countries in the Far East and four countries in Europe. He received an honorable retirement discharge in 1982 with twenty-six years of service.  

He and his family settled in Macon, and he spent sixteen years with COX Communications, retiring as the Plant Manager. During his tenure with COX he performed civic duties with various organizations such as: West Macon Kiwanis Club/President, President of Board of Directors of Cerebral Palsy Center, member of the United Way Finance Committee of Central Georgia and a member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Macon. He spent five years in central Florida and was on the Town Council of the Town of Ocean Breeze. Jerry is an avid golfer and was a co-founder of the COX Cable Golf Classic Charity Event. He is a current member of the Central Georgia Seniors Golf Association and the U.S.G.A.  

Jerry is married to a Maconite: Janelle Watts Mansfield. They have a daughter: Tracy Phillips, a son: Jerry Mansfield and have four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Jerry has been in the funeral industry for the past eight years, providing various services to families during their time of grief.  

Mr. Hoyt Brown

Funeral Service Assistant
Before Gray Memorial Chapel, Hoyt had a very distinguished career in the aviation industry. He holds MBA and BBA degrees in Business Management, Marketing and Economics from Georgia State University, as well as, Certificates of Achievement from graduate business programs at the University of Miami and Mercer University. 

He is heavily involved in many community programs including the Jones County Chamber of Commerce, where he served as Chairman and on the Board of Directors for six years. Mr. Brown has also served as President of the Rotary Club and serves on the advisory committee for Agriculture and Natural Resources for the University of Georgia County Extension Agent in Jones County. Mr. Brown is the District Supervisor for Jones County in the Piedmont Soil and Water District.

He and his wife Sally Wicker Brown are members of Clinton United Methodist Church and in 2015 they were honored as Piedmont Soil and Water District Conservationists of the Year for their actions on their pine tree farm in Jones County.

Mr. Micah Harley

Funeral Service Assistant

Micah Harley was born and raised in Gray, GA. After graduating from Jones County High School, he attended Georgia College and State University and graduated from there with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is currently continuing his education pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Georgia College and State

University. Micah Harley has seven years of photography experience. Micah’s experience as a photographer is vast, he started in high school photographing school sporting events and since then has moved into photographing more notable figures and many members of our state and federal government. Micah currently runs a photography company and operates an auto sales company as well.


Micah is a very active member of Elam Baptist church which he has attended since he was a child with his family. As a member of the Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory team, Micah considers it an honor to have the opportunity to serve and help all families in the Middle Georgia community.
