Obituary for Tullie Jeff Hatcher

TWIGGS COUNTY: Tullie Hatcher, 77, of General Twiggs Drive, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at a local nursing home. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, April 22, 2022, at Gray Memorial Chapel in Gray. Services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, April 23, 2022, at New Haven Baptist Church with interment at the church cemetery. Rev. Gabby Loyd will officiate.

Mr. Hatcher was born August 1, 1944, in Hawkinsville and had lived in Twiggs County for the past forty-six years. He was the son of the late Edmund Hatcher and Evelyn Burris Hatcher. Mr. Hatcher was a retired heavy equipment operator for USA Aggregates and was a former chief of the Dry Branch Station of the Twiggs County Fire Department. Mr. Hatcher was a handy man and worked up until his sickness in 2020. He was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Mr. Hatcher is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years: Barbara Hatcher; children: Lisa Floyd, Franklin Hatcher and Shawn Hatcher; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister: Ruby Jacobs, Mary Barlow, Dorothy "Dot" Allen and Idell Flemister.
