Michael Wayne Garey, 70, of Fifth Road, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at his residence. A celebration of his life will be held from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the home of Kimberly & Derek Grimes, 507 Henderson Road, Macon, GA 31217. Burial services will be private.

Mr. Garey was born January 8, 1952, in Macon to the late Robert Edsel Garey and Ann Irene Dennison Garey. Mr. Garey was a retired electrician for APAC Electric, Gorman and Gorman Electric and Putzel Electric. When he wasn't working, he found joy in dropping a line in the nearest fishing hole and cultivating his garden. Preceding him in death were three brothers: Jimmy Hamlin, Charles Hamlin and Randy Garey.

Mr. Garey is survived by his wife of fifty-three years: Vicki Garey; children: Tracy Michele Mills and Kimberly Ann Grimes (Derek); grandchildren: Dawson Cole Grimes, Gage Alexander Mills and Olivia Grace Grimes; siblings: Debbie Seabolt, Steven Wayne Garey and Chris Garey (Linda).
