Obituary for Mary Ann Kitchens King
HADDOCK: Mary Ann King, 84, passed away, Sunday, June 6, 2021. Services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Haddock Baptist Church with interment at the church cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the church.
Mrs. King was born February 16, 1937, in Jones County to the late Hugh Dorsey Kitchens and Mary Lee Whibdy Kitchens. She had many jobs, which include teaching kindergarten, served as dietician and taught nutrition for Clemson University. She also worked as a healthcare worker for twenty-three years. She was dedicated to serving the church members of Canton First Baptist Church and Haddock Baptist Church, for their Wednesday night suppers. Mrs. King was preceded in death by sisters: Doris Brantley and Lucy Brown and a granddaughter: Emily King.
Mrs. King is survived by her children: Judy Hillhouse, Leon King, Richard King (Tracey) and Beth King; grandchildren: Amanda Sizemore (Mike), Rachel McCarthy (Rob), Andrea Strickland (Joe), Brandon King, Ryan King (Kaitlin) and Daniel Haynes; great-grandchildren: Brycen King, Veda Sizemore and Briella King and a great-grandbaby Strickland on the way.
