Obituary for Marjorie Rose Nobles (Jackson)

Marjorie Jackson Nobles passed away on March 31st, 2022. Born on September 7, 1933, in Gray, Georgia she was the daughter of Bennie and Berta Jackson. In 1951, at the age of 18, she married the love of her life, Bobby and raised a son and a daughter, Steve and Melinda.

Marjorie enjoyed a long working career from 1951-1996 primarily at Marbut Company and Anderson Chemical. To know Marjorie was to love Marjorie. She had a kind heart and was a very giving and generous person. She loved being around her family and friends and was deeply devoted to her Baptist faith. She especially enjoyed large gatherings at her home over Labor Day weekend and Christmas Eve. She loved gardening, her church, her children, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren excel in sports, school plays, orchestra, chorus, college and their careers. She was a loving wife, proud mother, loyal sister and true friend to all.

Marjorie is predeceased by her parents and her 6 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 70 years Hade (Bobby) Nobles, son Steve Nobles (Sherrill), Marietta, GA and her daughter Melinda Benson (Richard), Marietta, GA. She is also survived by her Grandchildren: Michelle Clay (Chris), Stefanie Reyes, Brandy Hall (David), Brandon Benson, Alexander Benson and Peyton Benson and Great-grandchildren Elisheva Montunnas and Annabel Clay along with many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5th at 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by a funeral at 11:00 a.m. at Plentitude Baptist Church. 145 Plentitude Church Road, Gray, GA, 31032.
