Larry Pierce Darley, 78, of Shoal Creek Road, passed away Monday, October 17, 2022, at a local hospital. The family will greet friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm, Friday, October 21, 2022, at Gray Memorial Chapel in Gray. Memorial services will follow at 2:00pm, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.

Mr. Darly was born June 13, 1944, in Macon and had lived in Jones County for the past eleven years. He was the son of the late Pierce Darley and Irene Darley. He honorably served his country with the United States Army and was a retired serviceman for Atlanta Gas Light Company. Mr. Darley was a stranger to none and always made himself available to help others in need and cooking for various charities. He was preceded in death by a grandson: Bradley Goodwin.

Mr. Darley is survived by his wife of twenty-two years: Connie Darley; daughters: Robin McCook, Kimberly Grimsley and Stephanie Brocklehurst; step-son: Kip Rooks and by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
