Obituary for Jimmy Lee Dobbs Sr.
JONES COUNTY: Jimmy Lee Dobbs, Sr., 77, of Parker Drive, died Monday, May 24, 2021, at a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 11:00am, Friday, May 28, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Gray with Dr. Ron McClung officiating.
Mr. Dobbs was born October 5, 1943, in Tampa, Florida and had lived in Jones County for the past forty-two years. He was the son of the late James Andrew Dobbs and Edith Maxine Terry Dobbs. Mr. Dobbs was a self-employed construction worker and enjoyed the thrill of the hunt, attending flea markets and yard sales. He was also an avid golfer.
Mr. Dobbs is survived by his spouse of forty-seven years: Linda Dobbs; children: Kim Odom (Shane), Randy Dobbs (Kristi), Jimmy Dobbs, Jr., Waylon Adkison, Marilyn Wright, Carolyn Moon, Andy Dobbs; grandchildren: Tyler Ramage, Chandler Ramage, Cameron Dobbs, Caleigh Dobbs, Colin Dobbs, Jayden Whitehead, Jessica Brackin, Andrew Dobbs, Austin Dobbs, Avery Dobbs, Melanie Fleeman, Melinda Self, Hannah Moon, Waylon Morrison, Brittany Brown, Corey Adkison and Kaylon Adkison, Anslee Wise, Justin Callaway, Christopher Callaway; sisters: Joanne Atkins and Darlene Sutton; brothers: Ronnie Dobbs and Danny Dobbs and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
