Obituary for Jack Benjamin Burns

Jack Benjamin Burns, 83, of Jane Allen Drive, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at his residence. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Monday, at Gray Memorial Chapel in Gray. Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, graveside at Macon Memorial Park with Bishop Tim England officiating.

Mr. Burns was born February 24, 1938, in Jeffersonville and had lived in Macon most of his life. He was the son of the late John Clarence Burns and Ada Bozeman Burns. Mr. Burns was a retired machinist for Armstrong World Industries and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was preceded in death by a son: Kevin Mitchell Burns and a brother: John C. Burns, Jr.

Mr. Burns is survived by his wife of sixty-one years: Barbara Burns; children: Derek Burns (Kellie), Barclay Burns (Jennifer) and Dana Hughes (Doug); grandchildren: Brice Burns, Abbie Burns, Bayden Burns, Caroline Burns, Isabelle Burns, Lauren Boyd, Linsey Boyd, Rylan Boyd and a great-grandson: Forrest Boyd.
