Obituary for Howard Ray Harrison
JONES COUNTY: Howard Ray Harrison, 85, of Bowen Hill Road, died Thursday, July 23, 2020, at a local nursing home. Services will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Harrison was born September 11, 1934, in Lexington and had lived in the middle Georgia area for most of his life. He was the son of the William Harrison and Mattie Lou Burroughs Harrison. Mr. Harrison honorably served his country with the United States Navy and was a retired diesel mechanic for Lend Lease, Inc.. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening. Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his wife: Edna Harrison.
Mr. Harrison is survived by his daughter: Patti Harrison Jones; son: William Ray Harrison; grandchildren: Timothy Jones, Jr., Patrick Ray Jones, Sarah Elizabeth Jones; great-grandchildren: Timothy Jones, III, Ray Jones, Amy Brown, Prentice Brown, Gracie Jones and Christian Jones.
