Obituary for Juanita Tomlinson

LAKE SINCLAIR: Flora Juanita Tomlinson, 90, of Misenheimer Road, N.E., died Sunday, November 14, 2021, at a local hospital. The family will greet friends from 10:30-11:00am Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Gray Memorial Chapel, 4378 Gray Highway Gray, Georgia. Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Scott Walston officiating. Friends are invited for a reception at 12:00pm in the hospitality suite of Gray Memorial Chapel. A private interment for family will be at 2:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Juanita was born November 2, 1931, in Macon and had lived at Lake Sinclair for the past forty years. She was the daughter of the late Tally Rucker Reed and Eunice Waters Reed. Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Tomlinson. sisters: Mary Bivens, Rachel Walston, and Selma Brown; brothers: William "Billy" Reed and Howard Reed.

She was an active member of N.A.R.F.E. as well as the Telephone Pioneers, XYZ Vineville Baptists Church and past secretary and treasurer of AFLCIO. She was a retired service attendant for BellSouth Communications. Juanita was a lady of many talents enjoying antiquing, entertaining her close friends, decorating, refinishing furniture, sewing and maintaining her lake home.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her nieces: Jeanne Pearce, Joann Adkins, Martha Walston, Kim Roberts, Rhonda Gilpin, and Spring Davis; nephews: Tommy Walston, Scott Walston, and Howard Reed and twenty-five great-nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted and appreciated.
