Emily B. Bryant, 92, of Fort Pierce, Florida died Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-2:00pm, Saturday, February 27, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Gray. Services will follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Greg Thompson officiating. Interment will be at James Cemetery following immediately.
Mrs. Bryant was born March 18, 1928, in James, Georgia to the late John H. Burnette, Sr. and Louise Hawkins Burnette. She was retired from Federal Mogul Plastics and was preceded in death by her husband: Anderson P. Bryant, Sr.; son: Anderson P. Bryant, Jr.; sisters: Jonnie B. Amerson, Jean Baxley, Myrtle Hogan, Miriam Grimes, Charlotte Bradley, Katherine Smith and by brothers: John H. Burnette, Jr., James Robert Burnette, and Billy Burnette.
After retirement, Emily spent her time traveling, taking long walks on the beach and singing, mostly yodeling.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by her children: Michael B. Bryant (Diane) of Fort Pierce, Florida, Linda B. Lacy of Fort Pierce, Florida and J. Susan Hunter (Lonnie) of Lake Park, Florida; sisters: Nell Bowden, Cathy Horne, and Shirley Beck of Gray; and a brother: Father John Burnette of Springfield, Illinois. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the donor's charity of choice.
