Obituary for Donald E. "Duck" Parker

JONES COUNTY: Donald E. "Duck" Parker, 60, of Georgia Highway 22, East, died Saturday, February 29, 2020, at his residence. The family will greet friends from 11:00am - 12:00pm, Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Gray Memorial Chapel in Gray. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home chapel at 12:00pm, with Rev. Dylan Bowden officiating.

Mr. Parker was born May 19, 1959, in Milledgeville and had lived in Jones County for most of his life. He was the son of the late James "Snutts" Parker and Betty Pounds Parker. He was a self proclaimed "Jack of all Trades, and Master of None." He had a true giver's spirit and was known to help anyone in need. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles Parker and Clarence Parker and a sister: Carolyn Youmans.

Mr. Parker is survived by his wife of eighteen years: Deborah Parker; children: Amanda Parker; step-children: Kimberly Holland (Brian) and Kevin Johnson; grandchildren: Cadence Todd, Arya Holland, Thomas Kent and Jaxson Howard; brothers: Johnny Parker, Sr. (Sarah); sisters: Mary Helen Parker and Emma Lou Parker; nephews: Raymond Parker and Johnny Parker, Jr.; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Donna and Charles Owens.
