Gray: Dealon (Lonnie) West Sr., passed away peacefully on January 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Gray Memorial Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be at 1:00 PM with memorial services to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. The family may be contacted at their residence, 139 Kitchens Road, Macon, Georgia 31217.

Lonnie was a printer for the Cherokee National Life Insurance Company in Macon, Georgia. He was an honorary member of the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame. He was a musician for the Dreamers, Winchester, and John Knight and the Knight Riders. An avid pool player, he was a member of the APA of Middle Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of fifty nine years, Betty Jewel West. Daughter: Sharon Delene Grimsley. Son: Robert Linton (RL) West. Sister: Dorothy Myers. Granddaughter: Michelle Grimsley Bass.

Survivors include Son: Dealon Lonnie West Jr (Patsy). Grandchildren: Alon Grimsley, Mandy Glover (Chad), Nathan West (Nickie), and Linton Mitchum. Eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and one expected in June.
