Obituary for Connie Clay (McBroom)
Connie McBroom Clay of Gray, Georgia went to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 30th, 2021.
Connie is preceded in death by her loving parents Donald McBroom (father), Frances McBroom (mother), and her devoted husband of 37 years, Tommy Clay.
Connie is survived by her only child, Lance Clay (married to Sarah Clay), grandchildren: Cole Clay, Easton Clay, and Wyatt Clay. Sister: Tammie Eubanks (married to Smokey Eubanks). Brother: Tim McBroom (married to Tonya McBroom). Neices: Brittany Ponder (and family), Tosha Carden (and family). Nephew: Ryan Eubanks (and family). Sister-in-laws: Becky Lancaster (and family), and Michele Lancaster. Brother-in-law: Mike Lancaster. Numerous wonderful cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Connie was born on April 5th, 1960 in Austell, Georgia. She grew up in Lithia Springs, Georgia and she graduated high school from Lithia Springs High School. She worked at Data Graphics, and then spent many years as a paraprofessional in the Clayton County School System. She worked in recent years as a senior personal assistant at Vanasons Salon.
To those that knew and loved Connie, knew she was a big presence. She never met a stranger. She had a big personality, and she loved having fun! She was thoughtful, and often times would go without to make sure she helped provide for someone else. She loved her family more than anything in the world. Her greatest joy was having her son, which turned into an even greater joy when she became a 'Nonna' to her three grand boys. Her untimely death leaves an incredible, gaping hole in our hearts, but we have peace knowing she is whole and healthy once again.
A memorial service to honor her life will take place on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 11:00am at Jodeco Road United Methodist Church, 1500 Jodeco Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
