Obituary for Carolyn Woods (Taylor)

Gray: Carolyn Taylor Woods passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022 at Autumn Lane Rehabilitation Center. Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Wimbish Road Seventh Day Adventist Church at 4:00 PM with a reception to follow at 5:00 PM for family and friends in the fellowship hall. Pastor John Strickland will officiate.

Carolyn was born on February 6, 1930 in Macon, Georgia to the late George Waller and Emily Ann Taylor. Preceded in death by brother George Baxter Taylor and sister Evelyn Taylor Pelot.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Carolyn worked for many years at Atlanta West Hospital as a nurses aid. Along with her husband Robert Woods, Sr. they supported charitable organizations, 3 ABN Broadcast Network, The Adventist Development Relief Agency, Adventist Ministries and Fraternal Order of Police and local Sheriff's organizations. Forever the hospitable hostess, she entertained and fed many at her custom made eighteen foot dining table.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Robert Charles Woods, Sr. and Sons: Robert Charles Woods, Jr., Kenneth Wayne Woods, Curtis Irvin Woods (Donna LaVerne), Edward David Woods (Connie Denise). Grand children: Robert C. Woods III (Cheryl), Joseph B. Woods (Jennifer), Rachel Teruya, Amanda Woods, Joshua Woods (Brittany), Deborah Gillespie (Dean), Rebeca Sticher (James), Jessica Woods, Sheila Welton (Brett), Bobby Williams (Tawnya). 19 great grand children and 2 great great grand children,
