Obituary for Barbara Dean Rowland (Asbell)
GRAY: Barbara Asbell Rowland, 85, of Deer Creek Circle, died Friday, January 22, 2021, at a local nursing home. Private services will be held Monday, January 25, 2021, graveside at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens with Rev. Gary Thomas officiating.
Mrs. Rowland was born August 27, 1935, in Macon and had lived in Jones County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Emory Edward Asbell and Lucile Hunnicutt Asbell. Mrs. Rowland was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was a former member of the HOG Club (Harley Owner's Group) and was preceded in death by her husband: Gene Rowland and a sister: Mildred Webb.
Mrs. Rowland is survived by her sons: Mark Rowland (Faye), Brian Rowland (Nancy) and Craig Rowland; grandchildren: Levi Rowland (Sybil) and Summer Rowland Smith (Raymond, Sr.); and three great-grandchildren.
