Obituary for Anthony D. Gordon

Anthony Dexter "Tony" Gordon, Jr., 35, left this earthly life and returned with honor to his Heavenly home on Saturday, November 6, 2021, peacefully with his mother by his side. Family only graveside services will be held 10:30am, Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Cedar Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Jason Dillard officiating.

Tony fought a long courageous battle, despite his illness, he never complained. He was always a positive, kind hearted, christian man. Tony brought a lot of joy and happiness to others and he will truly be missed by his mother whom loved him deeply and was privileged and honored to care for him during his lifetime. Tony's fur babies : Yorda, Luna and Ruth provided loving companionship that he cherished.

Tony was born October 4, 1986, in Bremerhaven, Germany. He was a devoted Christian and member of Gray United Methodist Church. Tony loved going to church as well as his church family. He enjoyed reading scripture daily, watching movies and reading.

Tony is with his Heavenly Father and has been reunited with his father and best friend: Anthony Gordon, whom he loved deeply. Also, joined with his grandfather: George Cooper and grandmother: Cecelia Gordon.

Tony is survived by his mother: Diane Gordon; grandmother: Shirley Cooper; uncle: George Cooper; aunts: Cynthia Stovall (Patrick) and Tina Moody; and many other aunts and uncles in Columbus, Ohio as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews in Georgia and Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gray United Methodist Church, 117 South Jefferson Street, Gray, Georgia 31032.
