Obituary for Adele Warnock "Flournoy" George (George)

LAKE SINCLAIR: Adele Warnock Flournoy George, 92, of Eatonton, Georgia, passed away January 17, 2022 at the home she designed and built on Lake Sinclair. She was born March 7, 1929 in Macon, Georgia, the daughter of the late Adele Warnock Flournoy and J. Everett Flournoy. Sr. She was the oldest of 3 siblings, brothers Everett, Jr. and Dr. Henry W. Flournoy.

She attended Miller High School in Macon and went on to graduate from the University of Georgia in 1951 in the school of Landscape Architecture under Dean Owens. She practiced landscape architecture in Middle Georgia for more than 50 years. She also served on the Georgia Board of Landscape Architects, the State licensing organization for the profession.

She is survived by two sons, Everett of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Schuyler (Sky) George of Eatonton, Georgia, grandchildren, John, Keegan and Katie Beth, two great grandchildren and her brother, Henry.
